Eastern Mineral and Environmental Resources Science Center
Project members work to improve information sharing between USGS scientists who study mineral-resource issues in the eastern United States and people, organizations, and governmental agencies that rely on minerals. The Eastern Mineral Resource Team has conducted collaborative work with many outside organizations, including: USDA Forest Service, National Park Service, NASA, State Geological Surveys, universities, mining companies, and the Carnegie Institution.
