The major goals of this task are to

characterize the inorganic geochemical composition of ores and altered wall rocks in the mineral deposits, and
document the basic mineral textures and paragenesis.

The major objective of this task is to provide critical information on the natures of the ores and wall rocks of the mineral deposits, which will be the foundation for other laboratory studies of the project.
Methods used include standard observations using

hand lens,
binocular microscope, and
polarizing microscope (both transmitted and reflected light).
